What is it? The Campus Activity Tracker will make it quick and easy to gather hard data about all the election engagement activities you’re making happen on your campuses. It will give you concrete, real-time measures of your efforts, help us serve you better, and help us measure and compare efforts between all our participating schools.
Who fills it out? Campus Election Engagement Fellows and mini-grant recipients must complete the tracker as part of our organization agreement. We ask that campus leaders complete this as part of student outreach data, and that student leaders track successful events and best practices for future student leaders to work on.
When do we use it? The Tracker is to be used to record any election engagement event on your campus. Remember it only takes a few minutes to complete and can be done at the convenience of your own smart phone.
What is the data used for? CEEP will use the data you collect to prepare and distribute regular state-specific and national reports that will help you document concrete measures of your accomplishments and your progress over time, which will help you build internal campus support. So, you do the collecting and we do the record keeping, data standardizing, and reporting! The reports will also help you gain new insights and ideas from other schools in your state and nationwide. You’ll want to make sure your hard work is documented along with everyone else’s!
The data we collect from this new Activity Tracker will also help us make a more compelling case for additional funding, which means we’ll be able to continue to provide you with the resources you need and potentially even increase our support. In particular, we are focusing our current fundraising efforts on increasing the number of Election Engagement Fellows we can place on campuses. Your commitment to gathering the data will help us secure these funds!
What’s in it for your institution? The Tracker gives you a place to keep track of data without having to manage a system on your own. CEEP will provide summary reports regularly/as requested and at the end of the year. The data collected will help you justify expenses for the years to come.
